Hester-Dendy Samplers
Hester-Dendy Samplers
This compact device has become a staple in the field and works like a periphyton sampler. It’s the most adaptable artificial substrate sampler available and is EPA recommended. Suspend, float or attach it to submerged objects such as boulders or stakes. Leave it in place for two or more weeks, then scrape the “critters” off the plates and analyze them in the lab. Made of 1/8” (3 mm) thick tempered masonite for long field life, with nylon spacers and stainless steel hardware. Wingnut at the bottom for disassembly.
